Instructions for filing a name reservation application

This service is intended for any person wishing to file a name reservation application with the enterprise registrar, in particular to incorporate, continue the existence of, amalgamate or reconstitute a business corporation in Québec or to modify the name of a corporation already incorporated. It is also possible to obtain a name reservation in order to constitute or modify a Québec legal person.

The reservation is optional but it prevents the enterprise registrar from accepting an identical name in respect of the incorporation of another corporation or a non-profit legal person, or a name change.

The reservation is valid for 90 days.
