Effective April 1, 2007, Revenu Québec is responsible, in partnership with Services Québec, for the activities formerly carried out by the Registraire des enterprises

The Act to amend the Act respecting the enterprise registrar and other legislative provisions was assented to in December 2006. As a result, the administration of the Act respecting the enterprise registrar, the Companies Act and the Act respecting the legal publicity of sole proprietorships, partnerships and legal persons (among others) was transferred to the Ministère du Revenu on April 1, 2007.

Under an agreement between the Minister of Revenue and Services Québec, Services Québec now provides the services formerly offered by the Registraire des enterprises. See the locations, numbers and business hours indicated below.

From now on,

• any amount payable under the laws formerly administered by the Registraire des entreprises is payable to the Minister of Revenue;
• the Minister of Revenue assigns an officer to act as the enterprise registrar within the Direction du registre des entreprises de Revenu Québec. This public officer, exclusively in charge of the work relating to the enterprise register, performs the duties that are provided for by law.
